Day 1 - Arrival in Denver

Day 2 - Canyon Spirit from Denver to Glenwood Springs

Depart Denver on the Canyon Spirit and travel towards your destination for the evening: Glenwood Springs. As you climb out of Denver and into the Colorado Rockies, you’ll pass through a series of tunnels including the Moffat Tunnel. Cross the Continental Divide as you take in the spectacular views of rugged canyons and the Colorado River before arriving at the resort town of Glenwood Springs.

If time permits this evening, the recommended activity is a visit the Glenwood Hot Springs, which is the largest hot springs pool in the world!

Day 3 - Canyon Spirit from Glenwood Springs to Moab

Depart Glenwood Springs in the morning and travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer for day two of your train journey to Moab. Cross the Colorado-Utah border with stunning mountain views in the background. Red sandstone landscapes emerge as you approach Moab, the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.
You’ll have the afternoon free to explore Moab. The recommended activity for this afternoon is a tour to Canyonlands National Park which can be booked through the Moab Adventure Center.

Day 4 - Free Day to Explore Moab

Enjoy a free day in Moab to explore Utah’s red rock landscapes at a personal pace. A variety of optional sightseeing experiences may be available, including guided visits to nearby national parks and scenic areas featuring natural arches, dramatic canyons, and sweeping desert viewpoints. These excursions are operated by local providers, are subject to availability, and often sell out well in advance. Guests interested in adding a sightseeing experience are encouraged to inquire early so additional details and booking options can be provided.

Day 5 - Free Day to Explore Moab

Enjoy the day exploring the Scarlet City at your own leisure. Known as the Adventure Capital of Utah, there is no shortage of activities to choose from in Moab.

Day 6 - Canyon Spirit from Moab to Glenwood Springs

Depart Moab in the afternoon and travel onboard Canyon Spirit for day one of your train journey to Denver. As you cross the Utah-Colorado border you’ll begin the transition from the red sandstone landscapes to stunning mountain views as you approach Glenwood Springs for the evening.

Day 7 - Canyon Spirit from Glenwood Springs to Denver

Depart Glenwood Springs in the morning and travel onboard the Canyon Spirit for day two of your train journey to Denver. Take in the spectacular views of rugged canyons and the Colorado River before crossing the Continental Divide. Pass through as series of tunnels winding through the Colorado Rockies including the Moffat Tunnel before descending on the other side of the Rockies into the city of Denver.

Throughout the course of the day you climb out of Glenwood Springs and into the Colorado Rockies where you’ll pass through a series of tunnels including the Moffat Tunnel. Cross the Continental Divide as you arrive at the resort town of Glenwood Springs.
