Getting To/From Denver:
Everyone traveling on the Rocky Mountaineer will start or end their trip in Denver. Denver is a great place to fly in or out of as it has one of the best airports in North America. Denver International Airport is a major airline hub which means that you will have a good chance of finding a direct flight to/from your destination.

Amtrak’s California Zephyr train also passes through Denver as it travels between San Fransico and Chicago if you are looking to travel across the US by train.
Getting to/from the airport in Denver:
The airport is approximately 23 miles from downtown Denver.
For $10.50 per person, you can take a 37-minute ride on the “A Line” airport train between Denver Union Station and Denver International Airport. The train departs every 15 minutes between 5 AM and 7:30 PM and every 30 minutes outside of those hours. From the airport, board at the DEN Transit Center on level 1, next to the Westin Denver Airport Hotel.
If you would prefer to take a taxi, it will take approximately 25 minutes to get downtown without traffic. Flat rates being around $55-60. You’ll find taxis at Level 5, Island 1, outside Door 507 (east side) and Door 510 (west side).
Uber and Lyft are also available in Denver.
Denver Car Rental:
More than 10 car rental companies are available out of Denver International Airport or downtown. Car rental agencies are located on airport property and provide free shuttle service to and from Jeppesen Terminal. Shuttles pick up and drop off from Jeppesen Terminal Level 5, Island 4, outside Doors 505–513 (east side) and 504–512 (west side). Click here to book your car rental
Denver Accommodations:
The best hotel option for those taking the Rocky Mountaineer is The Crawford Hotel. The Crawford is in a prime downtown location, inside of the historic Denver Union Station. The Rocky Mountaineer does not leave from this station but transfers to the train will be included from here. Rocky Mountaineer transfers are also available to The Maven, The Oxford, The Rally, and Hotel Indigo.

Other conveniently located hotels to look out for are should be within the area of 15th street and 18th street as you will have easy access to the “16th Street Free Mall Ride” bus that operates between Denver Union Station and Civic Center Station.
