Daily Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival in Moab

Arrive in Moab independently and explore the surrounding National Parks if time permits. For information on flying into Moab or arriving by other means, visit Planning Your Trip to Moab

Overnight in a Moab hotel.

Day 2 - Free Day to Explore Moab

Today you will have a full free day to explore Moab. The recommended activity for today is a tour to Arches National Park which can be booked through the Moab Adventure Center.

Overnight in a Moab hotel.

Day 3 - Rocky Mountaineer from Moab to Glenwood Springs

You’ll have the morning free to explore Moab. The recommended activity for this morning is a tour to Canyonlands National Park which can be booked through the Moab Adventure Center.

Depart Moab in the afternoon and travel onboard Rocky Mountaineer for day one of your train journey to Denver. As you cross the Utah-Colorado border you’ll begin the transition from the red sandstone landscapes to stunning mountain views as you approach Glenwood Springs for the evening.

Day 4 - Rocky Mountaineer from Glenwood Springs to Denver

Depart Glenwood Springs in the morning and travel onboard Rocky Mountaineer for day two of your train journey to Denver. Take in the spectacular views of rugged canyons and the Colorado River before crossing the Continental Divide. Pass through as series of tunnels winding through the Colorado Rockies including the Moffat Tunnel before descending on the other side of the Rockies into the city of Denver.

Throughout the course of the day you climb out of Glenwood Springs and into the Colorado Rockies where you’ll pass through a series of tunnels including the Moffat Tunnel. Cross the Continental Divide as you arrive at the resort town of Glenwood Springs.

Upon arrival in Denver, you will be transported to your Denver hotel.
